We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (with optional fullstack overlap) who will build and scale the core backbone of the platform.
You will work on integrating:
- AI and voice systems
- hotel backend systems
- modern customer-facing interfaces
- interactive and physical devices
Your work will directly influence system performance, scalability, responsiveness, and reliability, while utilizing modern AI tools to support productivity and experimentation.

Our client is a deep-tech startup developing advanced humanoid and interactive technologies for the hospitality sector — including an AI-powered robotic receptionist (Holobox).
The company operates globally, follows an agile development model, and maintains a small, highly skilled engineering team with strong focus on quality, innovation, and technical leadership.
Key Requirements (Must-Have)
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Basic understanding of Git and Linux
- Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code
- Experience with Docker (Kubernetes or cloud experience is a plus, not mandatory)
- Fluent English — both written and spoken
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) or IaC (Pulumi/Terraform)
- Interest in microservices, serverless, or event-driven architectures
- Interest in voice/audio processing, AI tooling, or ML integration
- Previous experience in a startup environment
What You’ll Work On
- Developing and improving backend services in Python
(FastAPI preferred but not required) - Working with relational databases (PostgreSQL): schema design, query optimization
- Building and maintaining APIs for frontend and integration services (HTTP, queues)
- Contributing to microservices running in Azure Kubernetes (training provided)
- Collaborating closely with frontend engineers and ensuring reliable data flows
- Using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools to maintain stable systems
