About the Project
Our client is a well-established, innovation-driven company operating across Central Europe, with a strong focus on sustainability, eCommerce, and data-driven decision-making.
We are looking for a Junior–Mid Google Cloud Data Engineer who is motivated to grow in cloud data technologies and support eCommerce and BI teams with data integrations and analytics.
This project is ideal for someone who already has basic cloud or data experience, wants to deepen their skills in Google Cloud, and prefers a flexible, long-term collaboration.
Who We’re Looking For
- A Junior–Mid Data Engineer eager to grow within the Google Cloud data stack
- Someone comfortable with basic data integrations and transformations
- A motivated team player who enjoys working in smaller, collaborative teams
- A candidate interested in long-term growth, ideally towards a BI Architect role
Your Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
- Work with BigQuery – data models, transformations, and performance optimization
- Basic work with orchestration tools (Airflow / Cloud Composer – training provided)
- Develop Python scripts for automation and data transformations
- Support GCP ↔ SAP DataSphere integrations (OData, OAuth – on-the-project onboarding)
- Monitor pipelines and support basic cost management in GCP
- Collaborate closely with eCommerce and BI teams
Requirements
Must-have (Junior–Mid level)
- Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or another cloud environment
- Experience with SQL (BigQuery preferred)
- Basic Python skills (ability to write simple scripts)
- Understanding of ETL / data pipeline concepts
- Strong motivation to learn GCP, BigQuery, Airflow, and SAP DataSphere
- English level B1–B2 (working communication)
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Cloud Composer / Airflow
- Basics of data modeling
- Previous exposure to eCommerce, BI, or DWH projects
- Experience with OData / OAuth integrations
- Google Cloud certification (not required)
