Senior Java Developer

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a long-term international project. You'll be part of a skilled team working on scalable, high-quality software solutions for clients from automotive industry. This is a growth-oriented and technically engaging role, ideal for someone who values clean code, cloud technologies, and modern software architecture.

The position is based in Prague with a hybrid model (2–3 days/week onsite). Cooperation is on a freelance basis (IČO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop applications based on microservices architecture using Java and Spring Boot
  • Design and implement REST APIs and event-driven systems
  • Work with both relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Integrate with messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Optimize performance, security, and maintainability of code

Skills Required

  • 3+ years of experience in Java development
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and database management
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and distributed systems
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an agile team
  • English proficiency at B2+ level (Czech or German is an advantage)
