We are seeking a Japanese-speaking QA Engineer to prepare, document, and execute testing activities for the deployment and handover of a custom AI-powered consolidation assessment application. You will act as the primary QA interface between the development team and CLIENT IT, ensuring the application meets functional, non-functional, operational, and compliance requirements.
Review and interpret CLIENT IT compliance documents, application requirements, regulations, and testing frameworks in Japanese and English.Develop and execute test plans covering Unit, Integration, External Integration, Parallel Operation, System Integration, Pre-UAT, and UAT.Create test cases, expected results, traceability matrices, and testing documentation aligned with CLIENT standards.Perform functional testing across AI Document Analysis, RAG pipelines, RBAC and user management, document management, OCR, reporting, admin functionality, and Memo Builder features.Execute non-functional testing, including performance, load, security, availability, disaster recovery, backup/retention, and API/interface testing.Validate OCR processing accuracy and multilingual support in Japanese and English.Prepare and maintain testing documentation in Japanese and translate testing artifacts between Japanese and English.Participate in CLIENT IT review meetings and respond to compliance inquiries in Japanese.Track verification status, support risk management discussions, and provide testing evidence.Execute regression testing after each release or deployment.Report and triage bugs with clear reproduction steps and maintain test environments and test data. Native-level Japanese or JLPT N1, with the ability to read, write, and present technical documentation in business Japanese.Working proficiency in English.3+ years of QA/testing experience in enterprise software.Experience with test planning and execution across multiple phases, from Unit Testing through UAT.Familiarity with REST API testing using Postman, curl, or similar tools.Experience with security- and compliance-focused testing.Comfortable working with Excel-based test matrices and compliance frameworks.Experience with AI/ML applications, document processing systems, RAG, or NLP is a plus.Familiarity with Azure services, including Container Apps, Blob Storage, and Azure OpenAI, is an advantage.Experience with automated testing frameworks such as pytest, Playwright, or Cypress is preferred.Understanding of RBAC/IAM and permission testing is beneficial.Previous experience in professional services, Big 4, or financial services QA is a plus.
